In Frankfurt, KY to address the Kentucky Classic, a premier Alpaca event in this beautiful part of the country.
Landed in Lexington, blue grass country and home of Keeneland Race Track perhaps the most beautiful track in America. Right now they’re in the middle of the Fall 2011 Meet and the crowds around the track as I drove by were amazing.
As soon as you leave the airport you see one beautiful horse farm after another surrounded by miles of dark charcoal split rail fencing.
Manufacturing and installing these fences must be the biggest contributor to the local economy after breeding, training and racing!
Last month they had the famous Keeneland Yearling Auction Sale, wouldn’t it be nice if an Alpaca could run like “Seabiscuit”, wouldn’t have to worry about the fiber; but then think of all the fun you’d miss with AU!
More tomorrow;
Cheers
